Have knowledge of loss prevention inspection and hazard methods, including theories and their effect on the insurability of risks.

Have knowledge of structural design, construction practices, and applicable building codes.

Can review and interpret blueprints, engineering reports, and other technical documentation.

Are highly detail-oriented and able to analyze information to make informed recommendations.

Can effectively manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly and confidently to a variety of audiences.

Demonstrate strong relationship-building skills and can develop and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Are a self-starter who takes initiative and works independently while collaborating effectively with others.

Possess strong leadership and mentoring skills and enjoy supporting the growth and development of others.

Have strong facilitation skills and are comfortable working with multiple stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.

Typically, these skills are gained through a four-year degree in Engineering, Level 1 Thermography certificate, Fireman Boiler certificate, WETT certificate, must hold a Professional Engineering designation in Canada (P.Eng), a Saskatchewan Building Official License from Building Standards and Licensing Branch, as well as possess a valid drivers license and  6-8 years experience in building construction, field surveys, inspections or estimating with at least 4 years as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng).
