Security Guard - Libraries

Guards will patrol the facilities to ensure the safety and security of all patrons and staff.  Must possess strong communication skills and compassion, while working to de-escalate situations.  Noting the entry and exit of Patrons for possession of banned substances or intoxication.  Respond to requests from SPL staff regarding security concerns.  Keeping daily logs of activities and any issues addressed.  Addressing any infractions of building rules and informing SPL employees for reporting purposes.  Alerting authorities if needed for emergencies or security breaches. calling maintenance as needed regarding bathroom cleaning or biohazard materials.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age, possess the Saskatchewan Security Guard course, valid 1st aid and CPR, valid Drivers License, required to provide a Vulnerable Sector check.

Must be a resident of Canada
