Safe Home Supervisor

MLCFA Inc. is seeking a Safe Home Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Safe Home. The Supervisor ensures that all child and youth residents receive culturally grounded, trauma-informed, and supportive care in a safe and nurturing environment. This position provides leadership to Safe Home Workers, maintains compliance with Agency policies and licensing standards, and supports the Home's mission of returning children back to their community in a healthy and meaningful way.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide daily direction, guidance, and on-site supervision to Safe Home staff.

Support staff through mentorship, coaching, and culturally grounded leadership.

Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and coordination of staff duties.

Ensure staff adhere to Agency policies, protocols, and Safe Home procedures.

Must be able to work from Montreal Lake.

Ensure routines and activities meet the physical, emotional, cultural, and developmental needs of each child/youth.

Support therapeutic and cultural programming.

Respond to behavioural or crisis situations using trauma-informed approaches.

Ensure documentation, reports, logs, and case notes are completed accurately.

Support compliance with licensing regulations and Agency standards.

Maintain communication with the Executive Director, staff and Agency departments.

Qualifications

BISW in Social Work with 1-2 years experience working children/youth in residential or community settings. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Strong computer literacy capabilities with M365.

Strong leadership, planning, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Knowledge of child welfare and Cree culture is an asset.

Valid drivers licence & CPIC with Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
