Registered Nurse (RN) Part-Time

Bujea Family Foundation Inc. is seeking a compassionate, reliable and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide clinical oversight and nursing support at our Personal Care Home in Regina, Saskatchewan.

This is a part-time position of approximately 4 hours per week, with additional hours as required. The RN will provide clinical support on the days of scheduled Nurse Practitioner (NP) visits twice monthly and be available on call as required based on resident needs and PCH requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing oversight and promote safe, person-centred resident care; review resident charts, care plans, assessments, progress notes, incident reports and other clinical documentation; conduct documentation checks and audits; review medication records and coordinate with pharmacy/pharmacist; guide and support care aides/Continuing Care Assistants with resident care, documentation, medication procedures and changes in resident condition; assist with specialized or complex care; participate in NP visits and follow up on recommendations; support communication and transfer of care with healthcare providers and families; provide clinical guidance and education to staff; support infection prevention, resident safety, quality improvement and compliance with applicable Saskatchewan PCH requirements; and respond to nursing concerns on call, including appropriate escalation when required.

Qualifications

Current RN registration and good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS). BScN/BN or approved equivalent nursing education program. Current First Aid/ BLS/CPR certification. Experience in long-term care, personal care homes, seniors' care or a related setting is preferred. Strong clinical assessment, communication, documentation and organizational skills required. Must demonstrate professionalism, compassion, confidentiality and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
