Red Seal Welder

North Fringe is a proudly Canadian company specializing in industrial pumps, equipment rentals and pump repair services. We are looking for a skilled, safety-focused Red Seal Welder to join our team.

In this role, you will fabricate, repair and modify industrial pumping equipment, pump skids, piping, structural supports and custom assemblies. You will work from drawings, work orders and verbal instructions while producing high-quality work in a fast-paced shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform MIG, stick, TIG and other welding processes as required.

Fabricate, fit, repair and modify steel, stainless steel and other components.

Prepare material by cutting, grinding, fitting, beveling and cleaning.

Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, weld symbols and technical specifications.

Inspect completed welds and assemblies for quality, fit-up and conformance.

Safely operate shop equipment, hand tools, lifting and material-handling equipment.

Assist with equipment teardown, repair and reassembly as required.

Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.

Communicate material, tooling and repair requirements to the Shop Foreman.

Support shop, service and field activities as business needs require.

Qualifications

Valid provincial or territorial Welder Certificate of Qualification with Red Seal endorsement.

MIG and stick welding experience required. TIG experience is an asset.

Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings and weld symbols.

Strong understanding of welding safety, quality control and safe work practices.

Experience in fabrication, fitting, cutting and grinding in an industrial or heavy-equipment setting.

Machining experience with manual lathes, mills or other machine-shop equipment is an asset.

Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with pumps, piping or rotating equipment are assets.

Valid drivers licence and reliable transportation.
