Recreational Gymnastics Coach Part-Time
Prince Albert Gymnastics Club is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and energetic Recreational Gymnastics Coach to join our team. This position will work with children ages 9 months to 12 years in a variety of recreational gymnastics programs.
The successful candidate will initially work alongside experienced coaches as an assistant coach, helping with class instruction, activities, skill development, equipment setup, and athlete supervision. As they gain experience and confidence, there may be opportunities to take on additional coaching responsibilities and lead classes.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is patient, encouraging, responsible, and able to create a fun, positive, and safe environment. Previous gymnastics or coaching experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities include
Assisting with recreational gymnastics classes
Supporting coaches with instruction and skill development
Supervising participants and maintaining a safe environment
Helping with equipment setup and take-down
Following club policies and safety procedures
Communicating positively with athletes, parents, and staff
Participating in training and professional development
Qualifications
Experience working with children is an asset
Gymnastics or coaching experience is an asset
NCCP, First Aid/CPR, Respect in Sport, or other certifications are an asset
Must be willing to complete required gymnastics coaching courses, safety training, and certifications as required by the club
Must be reliable, energetic, willing to learn, and able to work as part of a team.
Saturday availability is required.
