R&D Technician

Schulte Industries is currently looking for a permanent full-time R&D Technician to support our R&D Department.

Schulte Industries Ltd. is a world class manufacturer of rotary cutters, rock pickers & snow removal equipment. Our top quality products have earned us a reputation known throughout Canada, the United States & many Overseas countries.

Job Requirements/Duties

1. Manufacture prototypes of new equipment (includes machining, cutting, threading, drilling, milling and welding)
2. Manufacture welding fixtures (include machining, cutting, threading, drilling, milling and welding)
3. Operate forklifts, tractors, skid steers to move, test equipment
4. Occasionally attend shows to promote products
5. Evaluate product designs through field testing and documentation
6. Offer production support in regard to problems with jigs and manufacturing
7. Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

Knowledge of Schulte built products

Knowledge of ISO requirements

Able to use precision tools

Able to weld and operate fabrication equipment

Able to operate heavy equipment, forklifts, skid steer

Working Conditions

Frequent stooping, reaching

Moving over rough, uneven ground

Working in/under cramped places

Climbing stairs and ladders

Using hand and fingers

Lifting or carrying up to 50lbs

Pushing, pulling or dragging up to 50lbs

Performing physical labor for large amounts of time daily

Working outside in the elements (cold, heat, rain, snow)

National and international travel while infrequent may be required on an occasional basis. Must possess a valid passport.

Must be willing to relocate to Englefeld/Humboldt area.

Hours of Work

4, 10 hour days, 7:00am to 5:30pm. Monday to Thursday
