About this role
Objective: The Quality Assurance Lead Hand provides technical and hands-on support across all departments depending on daily operational needs. Includes supporting end customer, sales and stores. Key objectives in the role are to enhance overall quality of the product produced and guide the plants focusing on areas of improvement.
Main Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of the Quality technicians.
Follow up on White Glove jobs and complete inspections along with Quality technicians.
Perform daily quality checks incase Quality Technicians have absences.
Work with cutting/finishing and assembly inspectors to train on quality standards.
Manage the Quality KPI/Metrics scorecard including the development and support of all Quality data sources (warranty, external auding, daily team tracker).
Generate Quality specific report and PPTs as required.
Represent Quality at all applicable meetings.
Oversee the document control process including managing the master index spreadsheet.
Develop and revise departmental Quality documents as required-policies, SOP, OPL etc.

Skills & Abilities
A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Lean Belt or Six Sigma certification would be considered an asset.
ASQ-ISO lead-auditor training would be considered an asset.
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening).
Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
Ability to take directions and execute tasks and projects on time while ensuring quality of work and meeting targets.
Strong ability to lead teams to execute Kaizens and problem solve.
Ability to adapt quickly to new tasks and changing priorities.
Physically fit, able to lift to 50lbs.
The willingness to learn and support multiple departments, including external customers.
Reliable, punctual and a strong team player.
