About this role
SIGN is seeking an energetic, resourceful and knowledgeable Manager of the Adolescent Group Home, to work closely and collaboratively with the 24-hour staffing body, SIGN and the Ministry of Social Services, ensuring a well-balanced program that enhances the development, safety and well being of youth residents, ages 12 to 15. This position will ensure the facility and staff respect and protect the health, and the rights of the youth, through strong intra personal communication and organization with all involved.

Expectations
Manage the overall operations of the group home, including youth intake, staffing and finances
Provide effective verbal and written communication with staff, residents, Social Services, SGEU and SIGN
Have a solid knowledge of child and youth development and understand the issues facing youth in care
Provide leadership with a team approach to ensure the best interests of the youth are met
Demonstrate accountability and integrity with all stakeholders
Be adaptable to meet the needs of the youth, staff and house operations
Collaborate with others to plan, implement, and evaluate youth care and support
Qualifications and experience
A Bachelor of Social Work, a degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of work experience and education that is acceptable to the Board of Directors
A valid Saskatchewan Drivers License
A recent (6 months or less) and clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
Experience in a management role and/or supervising staff and employee development
Experience providing direct and comprehensive care to youth with complex needs
