Printer /Equipment Operator
Western Litho Printers is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Equipment Operator to join our production team. If you have experience in the printing industry we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor bindery equipment, including cutters, die-cutters, folders, laminators, stitchers, and other finishing equipment.
Accurately read and interpret job dockets to ensure proper completion of customer orders.
Troubleshoot equipment issues, adjusting and maintaining as required to minimize downtime.
Work collaboratively with production teams to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
Follow all company safety policies and safe operating procedures.
Perform other production-related duties as assigned.
Able to work Overtime as required.
Qualifications
Previous experience operating bindery or finishing equipment in a commercial printing environment is an asset but willing to train the right individual.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot also an asset.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to lift 40 lbs regularly.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
Forklift and powered pallet jack experience or certification an asset.
Willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
