McArthur River - McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the worlds largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.

Position and Responsibilities

• Responsible for operating circuits as per outlined procedures and guidelines.
• Identifying, documenting and reporting any operational and maintenance concerns in order to support continual improvement throughout the operation.
• Work as part of a team who look out for one another and collaborate to improve performance.

Requirements of the position

• grade 12 diploma or equivalent;
• three to five years of mill operation work experience and industrial water treatment experience, preference given to those with uranium mill experience;
• certified in water treatment plant, slurry loadout, underground and central control;
• equivalent combination of education and experience considered;
• valid class 5 drivers license;
• strong team player with excellent communication and organizational skills;
• required to work both on surface and underground; and
• work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.

Assets

• potable water treatment experience; and
• level 1 and 2 potable water treatment and level 1 wastewater treatment certification.
