Sherwood Pharmacy Regina - Harbour Landing

DUTIES

To assist in filling prescriptions, under a pharmacist's supervision, as provided for by the regulations of the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacists

To be aware of and abide by government regulations and Sherwood Co-op's policies about control, safekeeping, and sale of drugs, including return and/or disposal of outdated dispensary stock, under a pharmacists supervision.

To be responsible for general housekeeping duties, and the general appearance of the pharmacy area.

To be familiar with all merchandise carried in the department as well as to be aware of new products pertaining to the pharmaceutical and retail pharmacy industry.

To assist with checking and adjusting customer complaints within the established policies of the Sherwood Co-op.

To assist with the movement of inventory, including the ordering of prescription pharmaceutical products, and "over-the counter" merchandise, under a pharmacists supervision.

To place claims against suppliers and carriers of Sherwood Co-op merchandise when required.

To maintain a constant alert against unauthorized removal of merchandise.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Pharmacy Assistant Certificate is a definite asset.

A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a pharmacy department.

Familiarity with Kroll pharmacy software.

Experience answering pharmacy phone calls and responding to customer inquiries.

Experience filling, processing, and preparing prescriptions accurately and efficiently.

Strong customer service and communication skills, with friendly, courteous, and professional approach, a cheerful disposition, and a neat, professional appearance.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in computer applications and data entry.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

A general understanding of cash register operations and related cash-ups is desirable.

Must be bondable.
