Pharmacy Assistant

Royal Drug Mart is looking for a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Melville, Saskatchewan.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with prescription preparation and patient service
• Enter, label, package, count, and measure medications accurately
• Manage inventory, receive shipments, and maintain stock levels
• Answer phones, greet customers, and perform clerical duties
• Support insurance claims, prescription transfers, and daily pharmacy operations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy assistant experience
• Proficiency with Kroll and prescription data entry
• Knowledge of Pharmacare/insurance billing processes
• Pharmacy Assistant program completion is an asset
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes as required
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• The store operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Must be available for a variety of shifts, including weekends
