Personal Care Worker

Personal Care Workers are responsible for providing compassionate day-to-day care and support to residents based on their individual care plans and needs. The position includes assisting residents with activities of daily living, personal care, meals, mobility, activities, and maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment.

Qualification

Personal Care Worker (PCW) training/certification is required.

Previous experience working with seniors or in a personal care/long-term care setting is an asset.

Valid First Aid & CPR certification.

Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check required.

Safe Food Handling certification is required.

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to handle changing resident needs in a calm and professional manner.

Reliable attendance and willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
