The Good Spirit School Division Invites applications for a Permanent Occupational Therapist
The Occupational Therapist is a specialist who works to support students' abilities to carry out daily living skills in the areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure. Occupational Therapists are employed for the purpose of providing specialized support for students with intensive/exceptional needs. These personnel consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and other personnel or agencies to support student success at school.
Assignment and Term
This is a permanent 7.5 hours/day (1.0 FTE) position and will commence on January 5, 2027.
Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (from a university accredited with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists)
- Registration with Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and follow direction.
- Must work well with others and independently.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
Salary and Benefits
Salary is in accordance with the current board approved Out-Of-Scope salary grid. The School Division offers a competitive compensation package. The Occupational Therapist shall receive a salary of Class V or VI on the STF grid plus Tier 2 allowance as negotiated through LINC. Further benefits include a comprehensive health and dental benefit plan, opportunity to attend professional development seminars and travel compensation.
Applicants not currently working for GSSD will be required to submit a recent (within the last six months) criminal record and vulnerable sector check acceptable to the Board of Education prior to offer of employment.
