Part Time Outreach Worker

The Outreach Worker will have a diverse skill set to provide in-home support and guidance to families with multiple risk factors. The Family Support Worker provides non-judgmental supportive services to families working within Foxvalley Counselling Services Inc., at Robin's Place. Family Support Workers support the families with tasks such as: parenting, life skills, and connecting with formal and in-formal supports in the community to address addictions, traumas and domestic violence issues. Robin's Place is a program that advocates for reunification of families.

Must already reside in Canada

Requirements

• Post-secondary training and/or experience working with agencies that support families and children.
• Current First Aid and CPR.
• Knowledge and experience working with families who have experienced trauma, addictions, emotional and mental challenges.
• Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture and historical trauma.
• Conflict resolution skills.
• Computer skills and report writing.
• Drivers license and appropriate insurance coverage to transport families.
• Criminal record check including vulnerable sector check required upon hire.
