Overview
We are seeking a reliable and organized Part-Time Cook to prepare nutritious meals for participants in our residential addiction recovery program.
This role is responsible for meal preparation, kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and helping create a welcoming and respectful environment around meals.
Duties
Prepare and cook meals for participants and staff as required.
Follow planned menus, recipes, and portion guidelines.
Prepare ingredients and assist with basic meal planning.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.
Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures.
Monitor food inventory and notify management when supplies are needed.
Store food properly and help reduce waste.
Accommodate dietary needs when required.
Work respectfully and professionally with participants and staff.
Complete general kitchen cleaning and other related duties as needed.
Qualifications
Previous cooking, food preparation, or food service experience is preferred.
Knowledge of safe food handling and kitchen sanitation.
Ability to prepare balanced meals for groups.
Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Food Safe/Food Handler certification is considered an asset.
Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check may be required.

Compensation Details
$18 - $20
