Parks and Facilities Maintenance

Duties

• Clean and perform maintenance work at recreation parks and facilities
• Campground, ball diamond and playground maintenance
• Mow grass at City properties
• Plant and maintain City flowers
• Clean public washrooms, change rooms, and shower houses
• Remove garbage from facility garbage cans
• General cleaning duties
• Perform snow removal ensuring facility sidewalks and entrances are free from ice and other debris
• Perform basic maintenance
• Maintain indoor and outdoor rink surfaces
• Record data collected from ice plant
• Arranging seating, tables, and other necessary items
• Strip and apply floor wax
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Satisfactory results from a criminal record check
• On the job training will be provided

Skills & Abilities

• Valid Saskatchewan Driver's License
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Working knowledge of The Occupational Health and Safety regulations
• Must be able and willing to perform all duties of the job in various weather conditions for extended periods.
• Good communication and comprehension ability(written and oral)
• Capable of operating maintenance equipment and hand tools in an efficient and responsible manner
