Job Description: The RN will serve the medical surveillance unit (MSU), which is a closed observation unit for patients not requiring ICU, but are more acute than a general medicine patient. The MSU provides an increased level of skilled nursing care to those patients requiring frequent monitoring, observation, physiological monitoring, support, and treatment. These skills will include cardiac monitoring and the application of telemetry.
Human Resources Exemption: No
Education- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Other Education and Training- Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
Competencies - Basic - Critical thinking skills
Knowledge and Abilities- Knowledge in nursing process
