Northern Trades and Skills Program Manager

Keewatin Community Development Association Inc. is seeking a practical, relationship-focused Program Manager to lead the Northern Trades and Skills Program. This is a full-time temporary position providing coverage while the incumbent is on approved leave. The position is based in Air Ronge and requires travel throughout northern Saskatchewan.

The Program Manager works with employers, communities, Indigenous organizations, training providers and government partners to turn verified workforce needs into practical training, paid workplace experience and employment pathways for northern residents.

Key responsibilities include developing and managing employer-driven training projects; preparing project plans, schedules and budgets; coordinating participant recruitment, readiness supports, training and placements; maintaining employer and community relationships; tracking outcomes and expenditures; preparing reports and presentations; and identifying and escalating program, financial or delivery risks.

The Program Manager reports to the KCDA Chief Executive Officer and supervises the Career Program Coordinator and, when engaged through SPI funding, two part-time Industry Liaisons.

Applicants should have relevant experience in workforce development, employment services, training, trades, community programming or a related field. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organization, communication, judgment and follow-through, along with experience supervising staff, contractors or project teams. Knowledge of northern Saskatchewan and experience working respectfully with Indigenous communities and organizations are important.

Compensation is $87,500 annually, equivalent to $44.87 per hour based on a 37.5-hour work week. The anticipated start date is as soon as possible.
