Music Director

First United Church is seeking a passionate and collaborative Music Director to lead and inspire our music ministry. This 12-month contract is renewable annually. The position requires eight hours per week, inclusive of all listed duties, and pays $30.53 per hour. The anticipated start date is January 1, 2027.

What You Will Do

• Lead the choir in worship services and rehearsals.
• Select meaningful music and anthems.
• Collaborate with the Minster and Worship Leaders.
• Recruit and encourage choir participation.
• Coordinate musicians and guest performers.
• Oversee music resources and instruments.

We are Looking For

• Experience in choral conducting and music leadership.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a faith community.
• Knowledge of church music is an asset.
• Availability for Sunday services and rehearsals.
