About this role
The Meadow Lake Tribal Council (MLTC) is seeking compassionate, energetic, and motivated individuals to fill the Peer Support positions at the Mistahey Musqua Treatment Centre (MMTC). Under the direction of the MMTC Manager, the Peer Support/Night Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of in-patient clients during night shifts, patrolling the facility, and providing basic client support.
The philosophy of the MMTC is to promote a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle and to enhance the well-being of our First Nation communities through holistic (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual) counselling services in prevention, treatment, and aftercare.
Conduct regular checks on clients to ensure their safety and comfort.
Assist clients with basic needs and provide support as required.
Maintain security by patrolling the facility and grounds regularly.
Document any significant activities or incidents in simple reports.
Provide assistance during emergencies and contact designated staff for support.
Ensure adherence to the Treatment Centres guidelines and policies.
Support smooth shift transitions by communicating relevant information.
Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain clean and safe common areas.
Basic data entry in the AMIS program
Carry out other duties as assigned.
