Job Description and Responsibilities
The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor oversees the installation, repair, and upkeep of mechanical systems and leads the maintenance team to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and compliance. This role involves planning and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and optimizing machinery performance to minimize downtime.
This position reports to the Mechanical Manager, Rolling and Finishing.

- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of maintenance staff to ensure timely, high-quality work.
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical machinery, equipment, and systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards, defects, or necessary repairs.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance, training programs and schedules to enhance equipment reliability and safety.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Assisting in procuring, organizing, and inventorying parts and materials needed for repairs
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance tasks and minimize operational disruptions.
- Provide training, guidance, and performance management for maintenance team members.
- Document maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and generate technical reports.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and coordinate emergency repairs.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in the mechanical field, or a completed accredited apprenticeship/ Journeyman
