Material Handler

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the shop material flow, ensuring that materials are handled efficiently and safely.

Duties

Operate various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead hoists.

Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.

Maintain, organize and track inventory effectively.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring all materials are accounted for and properly documented.

Other shop tasks as required.

Skills

Experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment is preferred.

Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Previous experience in shipping & receiving roles is a plus.
