Lumber Yard Associate

Emerald Park Home Hardware is looking to grow our team and is seeking for (1) Lumber Yard Associate, FT Permanent.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Load/unload materials, manually and via forklift and/or pallet jack.
• Identify & assist customers with information and help in gathering and loading orders.
• Keep the yard clean and the inventory neat & orderly.
• Be familiar with the location(s) of all inventory and equipment.
• Receive incoming materials, matching products to their bill of ladings.
• Gather and load materials for outgoing deliveries.
• Assist customers in handling large or heavy items.
• Restock lumber bins, sheds, etc. when they are depleted.
• Be aware of theft and take action, in line with company policy, to report or discourage it.
• Work on additional duties and assignments as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50lbs or more.
• Must have valid drivers license.
• Forklift experience is an asset, however, we will also provide in-house training.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, management and employees.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience.
