Loader Operator

JS Truckmart is a locally owned and operated business, specializing in premium recycled automotive parts.  Due to our continued expansion and growth we have an opportunity for a Loader Operator to join our team.

We are recruiting a reliable and safety-oriented Loader Operator to join our automotive recycling and salvage yard team.  The successful candidate will operate Loader Operator to move, load, unload, and organize vehicles, scrap materials, parts and other yard materials while maintainng a safe and efficient work environment.

Duties to Incude

• Operate Wheel Loader safety and efficiently
• Load and unload scrap vehicles within the yard, as well as in and out of shop bays
• Become proficient and comfortable with 17' long forks on the Wheel Loader
• Assist with crushing, pricessing and recycling operations as required, including blocking vehicles in the yard
• Perform daily equipment inspections and actively participate in the company safety program
• Work independently

Qualifications

• Minimum two years experience operating a Wheel Loader
• Strong awareness of workplace safety and attention to detail
• Comfortable using a cellular device to communicate, as well as the app-based program on the cellular device to locate vehicles
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and physically capable of performing all duties
• Experience handling end of life vehicles or working in a salvage yard is an asset
• Proven ability to follow directions
