Journeyperson Electrician

Donalds Fine Foods is a family-owned business that has operated for over 30 years. We are a specialty meat manufacturer spanning six plants in British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan serving both domestic and international markets.

We are currently looking for an Electrician to join our North 49 Foods team based out of our Moose Jaw, SK location.

Job Responsibilities

Identifies and repairs fault issues within the electrical systems.

Reads and interprets drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to plan wiring layouts.

Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and performs preventive maintenance on all associated equipment.

Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment while performing duties.

Communicates effectively with Maintenance and Operations personnel, suppliers and contractors to safely and efficiently, suppliers, and contractors to determine effective electrical maintenance practices.

Ensures electrical preventive maintenance, Safety, Good Manufacturing, and other practices are followed in compliance with regulatory and legislative codes, while always maintaining a safe work environment.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Electrician certification, required.

Experience in a manufacturing setting is considered an asset.

Exceptional communication skills.

PLC and Control Systems experience an asset.

Strong work ethic, accountable and dependable.

Superior problem solving and time management abilities.

Able to lift and carry objects as required.
