IT Support Technician

Dunkley Lumber Ltd. is a respected family-owned company headquartered in Strathnaver, just 75 km south of Prince George, B.C. Dunkley operates three modern and efficient sawmill facilities in Strathnaver, BC, Grand Cache, Alberta, and Carrot River, Saskatchewan.

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Support Technician to join our team. This full-time, on-site position will be based out of our Carrot River location, which will support our regional operations. This role will involve providing front-line technical support to staff, assisting with hardware and software troubleshooting, and ensuring prompt resolution of IT issues. Reporting directly to the IT Supervisor, the IT Support Tech will play an important role in maintaining the day-to-day functionality of our technology systems and delivering excellent support to our team.

Key responsibilities include

Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person for hardware, software, and connectivity issues

Respond promptly to help desk requests, logging and escalating issues as needed

Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals

Support communication systems, including VOIP, mobile devices, and video conferencing tools

Install, update, and troubleshoot software and operating systems

Document and maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and system configurations

Assist with IT projects and system upgrades

Contribute to the development and improvement of IT policies, procedures, and user guides

Manage the IT asset inventory, including recycling and disposal of retired equipment
