About this role
Kinistin Saulteaux Nation is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee HR functions across the organization. The HR Manager will work closely with Directors, Program Managers, senior leadership, and Chief and Council to ensure fair, consistent, and effective HR practices.
Key Responsibilities
Lead recruitment, selection, interviewing, and onboarding.
Provide HR advice and guidance to management and leadership.
Support employee relations, conflict resolution, workplace investigations, disciplinary processes, and terminations.
Develop, review, interpret, and implement HR policies and procedures.
Oversee probationary and annual performance management.
Support compensation, salary administration, and employee benefits.
Coordinate HR training and staff development.
Maintain confidential employee records and HR documentation.
Ensure compliance with KSN policies and applicable employment and human rights legislation.
Identify and mitigate HR-related organizational risks.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, Management, or a related field.
Minimum 35 years of progressively responsible HR experience.
Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruitment, performance management, policy development, and HR compliance.
Strong communication, organization, judgment, confidentiality, and conflict-resolution skills.
HR designation/certification is an asset.
Experience working with a First Nation or Indigenous organization is a strong asset.
Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
