Job Summary
Reporting to the General Manager, the HSE Manager owns the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Flatstones health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs, ensuring compliance with Saskatchewan occupational health and safety legislation, client site requirements, and industry best practices across Flatstones construction and remote/mine-site operations.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain Flatstones HSE management systems, policies, and procedures.
Conduct and oversee site inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments across construction and remote/fly-in-fly-out sites.
Ensure compliance with client-specific site requirements (including Cameco site standards at Cigar Lake, Key Lake, McArthur River, and Denison-Wheeler River) as well as Saskatchewan OHS regulations.
Lead investigation of incidents, near misses, and WCB claims, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
Support Workers Compensation Board (WCB) claims management, reconsiderations, and return-to-work planning in partnership with HR.
Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees, supervisors, and leadership, including supervisor-level safety leadership training.
Qualifications
NCSO or CRSP (Canadian Registered designation required; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
7+ years of progressive HSE experience, including experience leading a safety function.
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel regularly to remote project and mine sites.
