About this role
Position Profile: The House Admin will work with a Case Manager at one of the 4 CUMFI Supported Living Homes to support individuals with a philosophy of building on strengths and supporting challenges. This position will require team work and general office duties to provide community support services to clients who have been involved in a high-risk lifestyle.
JOB RELATED COMPETENCIES
Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Social Work Certificate/Degree, Justice or related education and experience.
Must have extensive knowledge/experience with all sectors including justice, mental health and addictions, family services, income support, education and health.
Must have a strong knowledge of Metis and First Nations culture.
Experience working with individuals and families who have been involved in a high-risk lifestyle.
Ability to speak a First Nations or Mtis language is an asset.
Knowledge and understanding of the history of Aboriginal peoples and their socio- economic backgrounds.
Knowledge of alcohol/drug recovery and relapse dynamics is an asset.
Must have a working knowledge of windows-based computer software programs.
Respectful of confidentiality.
Criminal and vulnerable persons record check.
Current First Aid and CPR certificates or a willingness to take required training to receive certification.
