Poundmaker Cree Nation is now accepting applications for a High School teacher.
The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
> use appropriate teaching aides and techniques, in order to meet basic Saskatchewan curriculum standards;
> use a variety of instructional strategies to meet individual needs of students;
> attend staff/community/school committee/parent-teacher meetings and in-service workshops to develop a greater understanding of community aspirations and improvement of personal teaching competencies;
> participate in operation of the school extracurricular program;
> other work-related duties as assigned.
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
> Bachelor of Education and a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate
> Excellent classroom management skills
> Ability to teach students of varying abilities
> Cross-curricular experience is an asset
> Experience in teaching high school science will be considered an asset.
> Differentiation experience and technology experience and knowledge (i.e. Google Classroom) required.
> Must be able to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector check
