At Industrial Parts and Equipment Ltd, we are a locally owned and operated heavy equipment repair and rental company. We're looking for an experienced Heavy Duty apprentice to join our team and help keep our fleet and customer equipment running at peak performance.
We are seeking an apprentice mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, and other industrial machinery. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on mechanical experience, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
Key Abilities
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues on heavy equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
Read and interpret fault codes, service manuals, and equipment schematics.
Repair or replace worn/damaged components, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and undercarriages.
Complete accurate service records, work orders, and parts requisitions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
Ideal candidates will possess the following
Eager to learn and work on all brands or heavy equipment.
Apprenticeship training in Heavy Duty Construction Equipment mechanics.
Skilled in using OEM specific programs to diagnose error codes / faults.
Proficiency reading and interpreting hydraulic & electric schematics
Class 5 Drivers license (A/G endorsements favoured)
