About this role
Family Service Regina has a temporary, full-time Intake Caseworker opening in our Gender Based Violence Prevention Services Department. This position is an important first point of contact for individuals referred to the GBV Prevention Services Department, helping connect clients with appropriate supports and services both within FSR and in our community.
The successful candidate will review and assess police reports and community referrals, make initial contact with clients within 24 to 48 hours of referral, and provide intake assessments, triage services and community referrals. The role includes coordinating information sharing with Regina Police Service, responding to walk-in clients, conducting home visits, and maintaining accurate client records and data entry.
The ability to contribute to a safe, non-judgmental and client-focused service environment is foundational at Family Service Regina. The successful candidate will be compassionate, ethical and culturally sensitive, with strong communication, organizational and multitasking skills. A proactive, flexible approach, sound decision-making and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team are essential.
Knowledge of gender-based and family violence dynamics and experience in human services are required. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
