Foreman

The Town of Blaine Lake is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and community-minded individual to fill the full-time position of Town Foreman.

Responsibilities

• Operation and maintenance of the Town's water treatment and distribution systems.
• Operation and maintenance of wastewater collection and treatment systems.
• Supervision and coordination of public works activities and seasonal staff.
• Street maintenance, snow removal, drainage, and municipal infrastructure maintenance.
• Equipment operation, maintenance, and repair scheduling.
• Monitoring regulatory compliance and preparing operational reports.
• Emergency response to water, wastewater, and infrastructure issues.
• Assisting with capital projects and asset management activities.
• Participating in an on-call rotation and responding to after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• Class 1 Water Treatment and Distribution Certification or wiliness to obtain
• Class 1 Wastewater Treatment and Collection Certification or wiliness to obtain.

Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's License (Class 3A endorsement considered an asset).

• Pesticide Applicator Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience operating municipal equipment including loaders, graders, trucks, and mowing equipment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous municipal public works experience will be considered a strong asset.
