Food Service Supervisor

ROLE DESCRIPTION: SHIFT SUPERVISOR

The Tim Hortons Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising team member activities during the shift to ensure standards for people, product, cleanliness, safety and Exceptional Guest Experience are met.

People Management

Leads by example and treats team members and guests with respect.

Provides direction, training and support to team members.

Responds to issues requiring attention during the shift.

Motivates team members and monitors performance.

Ensures proper team coverage and assists in various positions as needed.

Hospitality Management

Ensures the guest is the top priority.

Provides friendly, efficient service with a sense of urgency.

Responds to guest concerns and resolves issues in a timely, positive manner.

Operations Management

Follows and enforces Tim Hortons operating standards and restaurant policies.

Ensures products are properly stocked and merchandised.

Responsible for shift cash procedures and operational efficiency.

Ensures assigned duties, food safety, cash and break policies are followed.

Completes required shift documentation and reports concerns to management.

Health & Safety

Follows occupational health and safety requirements and safe work practices.

Uses required personal protective equipment.

Reports injuries, accidents and unsafe conditions to management.

Ensures health and safety policies are followed during the shift.
