Financial Controller

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our team. The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company'ss day-to-day accounting functions and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting.

This is an important position within our organization, providing financial information and support to management while maintaining strong accounting controls and processes.

• Manage accounts payable, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment processing.
• Process and oversee payroll.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded accurately.
• Complete Monthly financial statements and managements reports.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare year-end financial information and work with external accountants as required.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure accounting procedures and internal controls are followed.
• Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax, payroll, and financial reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting and financial controls.
• Perform other accounting and financial duties as required.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is preferred.
• Previous experience in a controller, senior accountant or similar accounting role.
