Position Overview
The Sheet Metal worker is responsible for fabricating, installing, repairing, and replacing a variety of metal roof and wall systems. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)
Install, repair and replace standing seam metal roof systems and Metal Wall Cladding System
Fabricate, install and repair sheet metal roof flashings and related components
Set up and operate sheet metal fabrication equipment to cut, bend, and form metal materials according to drawings and specifications.
Read and Interpret Blueprints, shop drawings and work orders.
Measure and prepare materials for Fabrication and Install.
Perform routine maintenance and inspection of tools and equipment.
Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces above or below grade.
Perform job setup and tear-down, including installing guardrails, safety anchors, and other fall-protection systems.
Erect and dismantle scaffolding to provide safe roof access.
Participate in safety orientations and training, including relevant sections of the Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, as well as company policies and safety procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area (daily housekeeping).
