About this role
Minimum 35 years of experience working as a carpenter or in a related construction position.
Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices.
Proficient in framing, drywall, finishing, siding, roofing, flooring, and general carpentry.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, drawings, and measurements.
Skilled in the safe and proper use of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
Experience with renovations, repairs, maintenance, and new construction.
Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and workplace safety practices.
Ability to accurately measure, cut, assemble, and install various building materials.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Physically capable of performing construction duties, including lifting, standing, bending, climbing, and working in various conditions.
Journeyperson Carpenter certification or relevant trade certification would be considered an asset.
First Aid/CPR and safety certifications would be considered an asset.
Must be dependable, punctual, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
