Equipment Operator

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of heavy equipment to support construction, earthmoving, site development, and maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including:

o Skid Steers

o Excavators

o Compactors/Rollers

• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation activities.
• Conduct daily pre-operational inspections and basic equipment maintenance.
• Follow project plans, site instructions, and safety procedures.
• Work effectively with supervisors, labourers, and other equipment operators.
• Identify and report equipment defects, safety hazards, or site concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with general construction duties as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or earthworks environment.
• Demonstrated experience operating skid steers, excavators, and compactors.
• Strong understanding of safe excavation and construction practices.
• Ability to read grades, stakes, and site plans is considered an asset.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Travel may be required.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
