Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of heavy equipment to support construction, earthmoving, site development, and maintenance projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including:
o Skid Steers
o Excavators
o Compactors/Rollers
- Perform excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation activities.
- Conduct daily pre-operational inspections and basic equipment maintenance.
- Follow project plans, site instructions, and safety procedures.
- Work effectively with supervisors, labourers, and other equipment operators.
- Identify and report equipment defects, safety hazards, or site concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with general construction duties as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or earthworks environment.
- Demonstrated experience operating skid steers, excavators, and compactors.
- Strong understanding of safe excavation and construction practices.
- Ability to read grades, stakes, and site plans is considered an asset.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Travel may be required.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
