About this role
Clifford Wuttunee School on Red Pheasant Cree Nation is seeking compassionate and dedicated Educational Assistants to join our school personnel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children and possess the skills necessary to provide effective support.
Duties
- Assist the teacher in preparation.
- Supervise learning activities, aide in life skill activities
- Participate in ongoing student progress reports
- Implement behaviour modification techniques, problem solving and assist with general classroom management.
- Assist students in developing problem solving, socialization and peer interaction skills.
- Assist students with academic work
Qualifications
- A compassionate and dedicated individual
- Experience working with high needs individuals is a strong asset
- Posses education as an Educational Assistant or in a related field
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to speak or understand Cree is an asset
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
