About this role
The successful candidate will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for toddlers while supporting their social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development through play-based learning and daily routines.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide warm, responsive, and attentive care to toddlers.
Plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based activities and learning experiences.
Support children's social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development.
Maintain a safe, clean, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Provide active supervision of children at all times.
Assist with diapering, toileting, meals, snacks, rest time, and other daily routines.
Observe and document children's development, interests, and progress.
Use positive and respectful approaches to guide children's behaviour.
Communicate professionally and respectfully with families.
Work collaboratively with other educators and centre staff.
Follow all centre policies and procedures, including health, safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and centre activities.
Qualifications
ECE certification in Level 1,2,3
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Previous experience working with toddlers is an asset.
Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate programming.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Reliable, patient, caring, and enthusiastic.
Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check as required.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of working with young children.
