Early Childhood Educator Level I or II

Park Play Early Learning Center is a non-profit organization with a new 90-space Center in Regina's Westerra neighbourhood. We are currently hiring permanent full-time Childhood Educators. Successful applicants must have at least one year of experience and an Early Childhood Education Certificate or Diploma.

Responsibilities

This position will enhance the curriculum and children's learning in many ways, through both planned and spontaneous play, by implementing activities that follow the children's interests between 18 months and 5 years old.

Planning and implementing an enriched Early Learning Program focused on the individual needs and interests of the children.

Maintaining ongoing positive interactions with the children during classroom activities on an individual, minor, or large group basis.

Using a variety of strategies to guide children's developmental skills in accordance with policies and procedures as set out in applicable regulations and standards.

Planning, organizing, and/or facilitating family education and family/child groups that reflect the families' needs and interests.

Promote well-being, encourage growth and development in children, and respect each child's uniqueness and individual needs.

Providing a safe environment that maintains orderly, clean, and appealing facilities and removes known and potential safety hazards.

ECE Level I/II

Certification in Standard First Aid and CPR-C, Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check

A sound theoretical and practical understanding of typical child development

A solid understanding of the Play and Exploration Curriculum

Excellent communication skills.
