About this role
The Drill Truck Assitant will be responsible for assisting the operation of an environmental drill mounted on an F550 tuck. Typically working with a consultant engineer or technologist to drill environmental soil testing boreholes, completion of in-situ soil investigations, and all associated tasks. Other responsibilities will include the management of field paperwork and participation in the West Three Drilling Health and Safety Management System. Daily completion of field tickets and Health and Safety Documentation is required. Regular inspections and maintenance of the drill truck and associated equipment is required.
Job Duties
Assist with drill truck to ensure the successful operation and completion of drilling programs.
Effectively transition between field based activities and office/shop responsibilities to support hands on operations and administrative tasks.
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and employees on site.
Attend daily safety meetings with crew and clients.
Communicate with the manager daily or as frequently as the project requires to be successful.
Utilize technical knowledge of equipment to assist in troubleshooting and specialized tasks.
Know, understand, comply and enforce HSE requirements to all site employees and subcontractors.
Complete all incident reports and investigations with assistance from HSE staff
Prepare daily reports of all drilling activities.
Accommodate and facilitate change at the request of the client, company or if better/best practices are determined.
