Domestic Violence Caseworker

FSR has an opening for a Domestic Violence Caseworker. This combined position provides case management and intervention services for survivors of intimate partner and family violence, as well as within our Older Adult Response Services (OARS) program. OARS is a specialized service supporting vulnerable older adults experiencing abuse or neglect by an intimate partner or family member.The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational, and caseload management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and community partners. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience applying trauma-informed care is required. The successful applicant will be committed to providing respectful, person-centred services in a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment. Strong professional judgment, adaptability, time management, crisis intervention, advocacy, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively in demanding, complex situations. Knowledge of gender-based violence, abuse of older adults, and the criminal and civil justice systems is required. Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and coordinating services with community partners is an asset. A BSW, BISW, BHJ, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related human services field is required.
