About this role
Ghost Transportation Services is hiring an entry-level Dispatch Coordinator to support our Fleet Dispatcher and daily transportation operations. Youll learn how freight is scheduled, tracked and delivered while building practical skills in transportation administration.
No trucking or dispatch experience is required. Well teach you our transportation management software and processes. You bring strong Microsoft 365 skills, a dependable work ethic and a willingness to learn.
What youll do
Support daily dispatch, scheduling and driver coordination.
Enter and update freight bills, trip details and customer information.
Track shipments and communicate updates to drivers, customers and coworkers.
Help plan routes, pickup and delivery sequences, and how freight fits within available truck and trailer space.
Prepare transportation paperwork and follow up on delivery documents.
Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation once trained.
What were looking for
Proficiency with Microsoft 365, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams.
An aptitude for learning computer applications and working accurately across multiple screens and systems.
Strong spatial reasoning: the ability to visualize how freight fits into a trailer and how locations and delivery sequences connect.
A strong work ethic, reliable attendance and follow-through.
Attention to detail, clear communication and sound problem-solving skills.
