Development Officer

Database Management

Maintain accuracy, integrity & usability of database; donor & sponsor records, account maintenance, relationships and recognition info

Work with Box Office to maintain account records, including merging & archiving accounts, improving database structure/processes

Develop practical solutions to reporting & workflow challenges, work independently to identify issues, implement solutions & improve systems

Manage longer-term support tickets through resolution, ensure solutions are implemented

Ensure data flows between departments

Create and maintain reports, queries, lists and other database tools to support stewardship

Development & Stewardship Support

Process and record donations

Manage tax receipting through PatronSend; learning/maintaining application

Ensure timely donor acknowledgements/thank-you protocols across giving levels

Maintain donor/sponsor tracking documents

Prepare member & partner lists, reports and correspondence, apply strong technical & writing skills to interact with donors/patrons/partners

Support fundraising campaigns, donor communications, prospect research & Development projects

Represent Theatre at events

Skills/ Qualifications

Strong working knowledge of databases

Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, maintain data quality and help improve processes

Experience with Spektrix, Theatre Manager or DonorPerfect preferred

Experience in database cleanup, records management & customizing reports

Comfortable working with external support team to investigate issues, identify solutions

Proactive and resourceful, identify what is needed and keep projects moving, communicate openly

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to handle confidential & financial information with discretion

Experience in fundraising, donor relations or the non-profit sector, an asset

Interest in theatre & the performing arts, an asset
