Developer

The Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency (SAMA) is an independent agency with responsibility to the Province of Saskatchewan and local governments (municipalities).  Provincial legislation mandates SAMA to develop and maintain the provinces assessment policies, standards and procedures; audit assessments, and review and confirm municipal assessment rolls; and provide property valuation services to local governments (municipalities).

Position Overview

Located in our Central Office in Regina, SK, the successful candidate will join SAMAs Information Services Division as a Developer in this permanent, full-time position.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of Solution Delivery & Application Development, the Developers responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Providing development, enhancement and maintenance services for the Agencys custom and commercial applications.

Providing application support and technical assistance for the Agencys various computer application systems.

Providing custom reports and data extracts.

Providing end user support.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

University degree in a related field or;

Diploma in business information systems and two (2) years experience;

Demonstrated software skills using C#, Visual Basic, current .Net framework, Python, SQL, and SSRS reports.

Working knowledge of GIS systems and mapping software including ESRI ArcGIS products.

Good problem-solving skills, time management, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
