Data Architect

We're looking for a Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of our enterprise data architecture, ensuring data is secure, accessible, and positioned to support strategic business outcomes.

What We're Looking For

You bring a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills, including:

Demonstrated experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise data solutions using cloud-based data platforms, data lakes, data warehousing technologies, storage solutions, and orchestration tools.

Experience with Azure Databricks, VaultSpeed, OneLake, Delta Lake, Amazon S3, Data Factory, Stream Analytics, Synapse, or comparable technologies.

Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, integration patterns, and agile implementation.

Knowledge of enterprise BI and reporting architecture, including semantic modelling, reporting frameworks, and visualization platforms such as Power BI and Cognos,

Experience guiding architecture discussions and influencing strategic technology decisions.

Experience within the insurance industry is considered an asset.

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

The skills and experience for this role are typically gained through a four-year degree in a relevant field of study, like Computer Science, Mathematics & Applied Science, Engineering, or Information Technology, or defined equivalency, along with six years experience in data architecture, modeling, or related technology roles with experience in Azure or cloud-based data platforms, enterprise data solutions, and data integration initiatives. A certification in a recognized data management or architecture discipline (e.g., CDMP, TOGAF, Data Vault) is considered an asset.
