About this role
The Prince Albert Grand Council is inviting applications for the position of Crisis Intervention Workers for the Montreal Lake Cree Nation Safe Shelter for Women; this position is located on the Montreal Lake Cree Nation.
Qualifications
? Minimum one-year certificate in a basic human services field OR three (3) years of experience in the social, health, or human services field
? Ability to work independently and as part of a team
? Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
? Current First Aid and CPR certification
? Ability to work using a trauma-informed lens
? Knowledge of community resources
? Experience in areas such as addictions and mental health, family violence, child development, life skills, nutrition, cultural diversity, or cycle of abuse is an asset
Additional Requirements
? Ability to pass required security clearances (ISC contract requirements)
? Valid Saskatchewan driver?s license, access to a reliable vehicle, and the ability to travel as required
? Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays
? Physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting, carrying supplies, and responding to emergency situations
? Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage crisis situations while maintaining professional boundaries and client safety
? Ability to serve as a positive role model for wellness, safety, and respectful living within the Shelter
? Knowledge of First Nations cultures, traditions, and community-based approaches to wellness is required and ability to speak one of the Prince Albert Grand Council official languages (Cree, Dene, or Dakota) is a strong asset
